Two new Artus Films acquisitions…

I got two new Artus Films Blu-ray/DVD sets.

One is for THE WONDERFUL ADVENTURES OF GUERRIN MESCHINO, directed by Pietro Francisci, and PERSEUS THE INVINCIBLE, starring Richard Harrison. Both sets are excellent. The sad part of these wonderful releases is the fact that there’s no English audio.

Even if you don’t understand French or Italian, I really recommend these releases. It supports future titles.

I’ll have a full review of GUERRIN MESCHINO in the upcoming BY THE GODS! magazine.

BY THE GODS! issue no 2…

The second issue of BY THE GODS! is ready and will be available soon, right after I get a physical copy and make corrections if there are any to be made. So, most likely next week or Monday, March 11.

Making this issue was really fun to make.

There are a few changes made to the magazine. It will be published 4 times a year, not 6 times, which I always thought was bit much. The third issue should be available in the middle of May. There are more pages than the first issue. This issue also starts the second volume, meaning the first issue was the first magazine and the first year of publication. A fresh start to 2024.

BY THE GODS! magazine issue 2…

I’m currently working on issue #2 of BY THE GODS! magazine. I wanted the issue to be available before Christmas but for now, it’s unlikely for a couple of reasons, the main one being shipping. It takes at least 2 weeks for Magcloud to print and ship the magazine and with the massive Christmas rush of packages being shipped in time before December 24, the magazines will be caught in the jam and will most likely be late. So, issue #2 should be available on the first or second week of January.

Here’s a sneak preview of the cover. There might be some last minute changes to it but that’s what I’m working on for the time being.

I like the gold and red look but I really like the black and red look of the first issue. Anyway, I have so time to figure it out.

BY THE GODS magazine…digital?

Thank you to everyone who purchased the magazine! I’m happy with the results. Hopefully, more people will purchase it.

It’s cool to have a magazine dedicated solely to the PEPLUM genre. I’m currently working on issue 2. For now, issue 1 is only available to purchase in print form. I was thinking of making a digital version available as well but once a digital copy makes the rounds, no one will buy it and simply get the dupe.

My question is: would you buy a digital copy of BY THE GODS! ?
