It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything about BY THE GODS! magazine. I have abandoned it or anything. I’ve decided to publish one issue this year so next year everything will fall into place. It was decided that the magazine would be published twice in a year but this year, there will only be one issue.
The upcoming issue, which will cover disasters in PEPLUM movies, will be FALL/WINTER 2025. This means next year, SPRING/SUMMER should be published in March or April 2026. Then the FALL/WINTER issue will comes out around the end of August or September or October 2026. As it was I published issue 3 late last year (Dec 18 to be precise), which covered the beginning of this year. It would have been too soon to publish a new issue in March or April. I would have given me just one or two months to make it. I had to wait until all the fundamentals were in place so everything would eventually work out smoothly.
So, stay tuned. It’s coming soon!
AI has opened up (not replaced) a new avenue of images and ideas for a myriad of things, including the PEPLUM genre. As I’ve said before, I actually wished there were more PEPLUM movies (since I’ve almost seen all of them) and this wish is sorta accomplished with the use of AI.
I’m currently working on many projects, including BY THE GODS! magazine. If you bought any issue you’d see that I quickly adapted to AI and its many potentials. To expand on things, I’m working on movie posters of PEPLUM movies I’d like to see. I have tons of stunning images and will eventually publish magazines or picture books on these newly created PEPLUM imagery. It’s really fun. Here are some examples.
I’m currently working on the 4th issue of BY THE GODS! magazine. I won’t set a date when it will be available since every time I tried that before something happened and I had to delay the release date. Here’s an incomplete cover preview. This will be issue #1 of 2025 but the 4th overall printed magazine.

Someone told me about a new Blu-ray of HERCULES UNCHAINED available in Spain (it’s actually not new…it was released one year ago but never heard of it). And yes it is available. It’s not a hoax. I haven’t heard anything about it and my expectations are pretty low (I expect it to be the same as the Japanese BD) but I bought it anyways. I will have a review of it once I get my hands on it.
